Partnering With Parents

Dear Parents,
Cornerstone Ministries is a place where we want to build lives and families on lasting values.  To find out more about our church, please visit us at
www.cornerstonelive.net.

Cornerstone Kids, the children’s ministry at Cornerstone, wants to partner with you as parents to lead your children into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We know that the ultimate responsibility of a child's faith rests with you, their parent. We are committed to being your biggest ally and support. We want our kids to have REAL FAITH & REAL FUN!  If we can support you in other ways, please feel free to contact me at jmarsalese@cornerstonelive.net.

In Him,
Jenny Marsalese, Children's Ministry Director

What To expect

C-Kids, birth-grade 5, can enjoy safe, fun, Bible-based classes and activities in our colorful children's wing.  Kids will be checked in at the registration desk before each service, where parent and child will each be given a tag with a unique code that will need to be presented to a leader at pick-up time.

Nursery (kids' birth-24 months):

  • Children play with toys and books and have fun in the nursery
  • Helpers change diapers if needed
  • Children have a snack of goldfish with parental permission

2-Year-Olds:

  • Children can begin hearing about God.
  • Children play with toys, have a tea party, push the cars and have lots of fun
  • They hear a short Bible story and do a small activity
  • Helpers change diapers if needed or children can use the bathroom in the classroom
  • Children have a yummy snack of goldfish or crackers.

Preschool (3-5-year-olds):

  • Children start understanding God and walking in Truth.
  • Children spend the first 20 minutes of services playing while waiting for others to arrive.
  • They hear an age-appropriate Bible story with help from Theo the dog.
  • Children will participate in a fun activity, or make a craft to help them understand the Bible story.
  • Children will worship along with fun worship songs.
  • They will be given a snack near the close of the service.

Lower Deck (Kindergarten-2nd Grade):

  • This is where kids can start applying Biblical truths to their lives with practical advice learned in weekly lessons.
  • Kids will meet together in the large rec room for lively worship and a Bible lesson.
  • Children will break into small groups by grade and gender for the last 20 minutes of service to discuss, play games, or do a craft to reinforce the lesson taught.
  • Kids can memorize Bible verses to earn Bible Bucks that can be spent in the store.

Upper Deck (3rd Grade-5th Grade):

  • This is where kids can start applying principles they learn from the Bible whenever making decisions in their lives.
  • Kids will meet together in the large rec room for lively worship and a Bible lesson.
  • Children will break into small groups by grade and gender for the last 20 minutes of service to discuss, play games, or do a craft to reinforce the lesson taught.
