Make a Calm Down Place

If your child is dealing with a lot of anger, make a safe landing space for anger. Find an low trafficed, small area and add some calming things there like pillows, blankets, sensory toys and even some crayons and paper so they can draw what is going on inside. Have your child go there when they are angry to "calm down" . This allows them (as well as you) some need time to lessen the emotion of anger before dealing with a situation.
