When you see someone doing something good or bad - ask your child why they think that person did that? This opens dialogue between you and your child. This begins your child thinking about behavior based on decisions and feelings. If you just tell them "Don't do this" - when presented with a choice to do that - your child has no foundation to make that decision on. What matters most is your child's heart - not his behavior so begin to ask questions and have them think about the whys behind what they do and what others do.
